Placid Lakes Home & Property Owners Association, Inc.

The Association is a non-profit corporation in the State of Florida and is governed by a set of By-Laws. Persons who live in Placid Lakes can become members by paying a volunteer membership fee of $ 25.00. Their membership entitles them to attend Board and Membership meetings with voting privileges at the membership meetings and access to the park with a key card. The Board meetings are operated under an agenda as are the membership meetings. Agenda and minutes as well as financial information are available free at Town Hall.

One of the most important responsibilities of the Association's Board and the volunteers is being your advocate and communication intermediary to the Highlands County Government and the administrators working in the county offices. The Board meets each month of the year (no Board meeting in July) to manage the Association and its responsibilities to Highlands County for all persons living in the Placid Lakes.

Other responsibilities include preparation of annual budgets for the Association, management of operations and expenses and conducting board meetings and general membership meetings. In addition, the Board of Directors assists Highlands County with the development of the Special Benefit District Budget, reporting deed and code violations, monitoring the road system and oversight of the Park, maintenance of Town Hall.

  2. Attend the Board and general membership meetings.
  3. Become a member of the Association by paying a volunteer amount of $25.00
  4. Become a volunteer worker to help make Placid Lakes a great place to live.

Welcome To All Persons Living in the Placid Lakes Community

Placid Lakes Home and Property Owners Association, Inc. (Association) is an organization that serves all persons who own property in Placid Lakes. The Board of Directors (Board) welcomes and invites you to actively participate in the affairs of the Association. By doing so you will help make Placid Lakes a greater place to live.

All Board members are volunteers as well as the persons who open the Town Hall building during the week. The Town Hall volunteers are there to meet and provide valuable information to all people who either live in and/or have questions about Placid Lakes.
